10,000 acres
O’Brien Atkins was retained by the Columbus, Ohio city economic development arm to master plan the proposed 315 Research and Technology Corridor – an area covering 10,000 acres – with the purpose being to stimulate economic development, job creation and collaboration on a regional basis. The planning team catalogued area assets, analyzed physical land elements and illustrated a planning approach for implementation.
An inclusive planning study process was employed with active stakeholder participation. The Corridor Study became an opportunity to contribute to common ground, which if planned well, would return dividends long into the future for everyone.
